An iPad with a USB-C port should be able to successfully power a Q9U, G Track or G Track Pro microphone.

I cannot get this to work. I have the Meteor, an iphone 7+, and an ipad 4. Using Garageband, amd the usb camera cable, the mic works with neither device.
No it doesn't works for me. IPhone 6
I'm very disappointed that this doesn't work with the latest iPhone/iPad models. Will there be -- can there be -- any kind of a fix for this? I bought this just assuming it would work with my iPhone XS Max for interviews in the field.
Update 6/3/19 … I still can't get the Q2U to work with my iPad Pro 11-inch, but the good news is that it works great with my iPhone XS Max after the latest iOS update! That's mainly what I wanted to use it with, so I'm happy. I do wish the iPad recognized it, too, though.
I had heard great things about the Samson Go Mic, so I got one last month. I envisioned connecting it to my iPhone or iPad, clipping it on, and having a fantastic mobile audio and/or video recording device. I was disappointed to read that the Go Mic could not directly connect to an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad via a lightning port, but would instead need to attach to a USB dongle such as Apple's USB Camera Connection Kit. This floppy cable and plastic housing, along with the included USB mini to USB cable would make my nimble and sleek recording idea less than ideal. So, I went online and had a very hard time finding a USB mini-to-Lightning cable. I decided to buy one to see if by chance I could directly plug the Go Mic USB mini right into my iPhone's Lightning port. BINGO! It worked. I recorded on Voice Recorder and the video camera - the sound was amazing. The cable I had purchased was even nice and short, so it made my iPhone into an audio/video powerhouse. Then, a week later, it stopped working. It may have been after a software update, but I'm not sure if one took place in that time span or not. The Go Mic still works connected to my MacBook. It still works connected to my iPad with a Camera Connection Kit. But it does not work directly connected to my iPhone or my iPad. It also doesn't even work connected to my iPhone with the Camera Connection Kit, which Samson says it is supposed to do. Wondering if anyone has any similar experiences or feedback.
Has anyone had issues with recording levels being extremely low while using the mic(I have a G Track) via the apple lightning to USB3 adapter with iPad?
Doesn’t work with iPad 6th generation and GoMic!
Frankly, it did not work for me.
I phone 6s.
Jonathon,

I have a Samson C01U Pro and it works with my Macbook 2017 OS Catalina (which has the USB-C) so I use a USB-C dongle to connect USB-A ports. The microphone works but the sound it produces is muffled. Hoping someone could help me out.
Hi everyone!
Has anyone successfully connected the G-Track Pro to an iPhone 8 Plus? I have ordered the G-Track Pro and it is set to arrive next week and am wondering if it is worth it to purchase the Apple Lightning to USB3 Adapter. Hopefully I can use Smule on my iPhone using the Samson mic to record. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you,

The G Track Pro requires more power than an iPhone 8 plus can provide by itself, so the middle section of the FAQ applies. You will need the USB3 adapter and an external power source:
