The MediaOne M50 main input connections can be made via the rear panel RCA inputs. Follow the simple steps and diagram below for connecting an audio source to the speakers.
- Connect the left and right speakers using the included two-conductor, 1/8” (3.5mm) speaker cable.
- Turn the MediaOne M50 Volume control completely counter-clockwise until it clicks to the minimum/off setting.
- Connect the MediaOne M50 to an AC power outlet using the included power cable.
- Connect the audio output from your audio source such as a computer or portable audio device to the RCA or 1/8” (3,5m) inputs of the MediaOne M50 right side speaker.
- Turn the Volume control clockwise until it clicks to turn the MediaOne M50 speakers on. The front panel Power Indicator will light white.
- Play music from your audio source and slowly raise the volume of the MediaOne M50 to a comfortable listening level.
Note: Before plugging in and turning on, remember the “last on, first off” rule of powered speakers. When powering up your system, be sure that all the wires are connected, turn your mixer and any other outboard gear on, and then last turn on your MediaOne M50. When powering down, turn your MediaOne M50 off first and then your mixer and outboard gear.
Standby Mode
In order to save power, the MediaOne M50 speakers will go into Standby mode when no signal is preset at any time for longer than 5 minutes. The front panel Power Indicator will turn off, even with Power Switch in the On position. The speakers will automatically wake up when you pass signal through the inputs.

The left passive speaker on my unit isn't working! It sounds extremely low compared to the active right side which works fine, i guess, and i don't even feel a vibration from the left woofers, only a weak sound from the left tweeters. I have tried both the RCA inputs from my audio interface and even the stereo 3.5 input straight from my computer. Could it be that the 3.5mm TS speaker cable that connects it to the right side is defective? And should it be a TS or a TRS 3.5mm cable? because it came with a TS one.
Any tips will be appreciated, i'm so bummed out by this :'(
left speaker disorted on every song and every volume, its so obv and annoying. i tried to connect trs to phone cus myb my motherboard was bad and even when its vonnected with phone same distorsion on left one. left one is clearely weaker thsn right one and i would like you to give me solution. even 20 dollar monitors dont have problrms with constant disortion and you cant tell me thstat these needs audio interface for it to sounds normal... and i even panned songs in both ways and its really bad.
dm If it's still under warranty, you can try to return it to the sellers you bought it from. That's what i did, because i made a support request 2 months ago but it took Samson all that time to fucking reply to it lmao. I really don't get why Samson could ever let something as serious as this pass through their quality control, if it even exists lol
Andrew Agustin, ye i will replace them with new ones, i just wait for sellers to get new supplies cus i bought the last pair. i will let you know if the new pair have any issue. ye this was obv thing idk how it passed throw but nvm now. did you get your problems solved with new ones, i also thought it was problem with cables but when i bought trs cables and connected them between speakers and on 2 different devices and still had same issue, it was clear its prob bad solder on left tweeters or something cus in transport they were untouched.
